Netflix’s new mystery drama film The Pale Blue Eye starring Christian Bale is finally here and while it is a bit slower than we would have liked it to be, it is still a great film with great characters and brilliant performances. Based on Louis Bayard‘s book the film follows a renowned detective Augustus Landor as he tries to solve a gruesome murder at West Point, with the help of a young man in the military who will be known in the future as Edgar Allen Poe.
