The shows and movies in this list are ranked according to their availability dates.
A Vigilante (Feb. 1)
Synopsis: Olivia Wilde gives a defining and captivating performance in what critics are hailing the most important film of the year. A once abused woman, Sadie (Olivia Wilde: Life Itself), devotes herself to ridding victims of their domestic abusers while hunting down the husband she must kill to truly be free. Co-starring CJ Wilson (The Sinner) and Morgan Spector (Homeland) this is a compelling, gritty and highly enthralling revenge thriller with a powerful message.
Swiss Army Man (Feb. 1)
Synopsis: A wholly original, enormously entertaining, and deeply heartfelt look at what it means to be human, Swiss Army Man is the feature film debut of acclaimed music video directors Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan (collectively known as DANIELS, and responsible for the beloved “Turn Down For What” video, among many others). Bursting with limitless creativity in both form and content, Swiss Army Man goes from the absurd to the emotional to the whimsical to the profound and back again.
Hank (Paul Dano) is stranded on a deserted island, having given up all hope of ever making it home again. But one day everything changes when a corpse named Manny (Daniel Radcliffe) washes up on shore; the two become fast friends, and ultimately go on an epic adventure that will bring Hank back to the woman of his dreams.
Taxi Driver (Feb. 1)
Synopsis: 4 Academy Award® nominations including Best Picture! (1976) Special Collector’s Edition is digitally remastered and includes a never-before-seen making-of documentary featuring interviews with the creators and stars of the film. Robert De Niro stars with Jodie Foster, Cybill Shepherd, Harvey Keitel, Peter Boyle, and Albert Brooks in the all-too-real story of a psychotic New York cabby who is driven to violence in an attempt to rescue a teenage prostitute.
The Art of Self-Defense (Feb. 1)
Synopsis: A dark comedy set in the world of karate. The film centers on Casey (Jesse Eisenberg), who is attacked at random on the street and enlists in a local dojo led by a charismatic and mysterious Sensei (Alessandro Nivola), in an effort to learn how to defend himself. What he uncovers is a sinister world of fraternity, violence and hypermasculinity and a woman (Imogen Poots) fighting for her place in it. Casey undertakes a journey, both frightening and darkly funny, that will place him squarely in the sights of his enigmatic new mentor.
C.B. Strike: Troubled Blood (Feb. 6)
Synopsis: Whilst investigating the mysterious disappearance of a missing woman, Strike and Robin come up against a fiendishly complex case with a psychopathic serial killer and witnesses who can’t be trusted.
Empire of Light (Feb. 7)
Synopsis: Set in an English coastal town in the early 1980s, EMPIRE OF LIGHT is a compelling and poignant drama about the power of human connection during turbulent times, from Academy Award® winning director Sam Mendes. Empire of Light features a stellar cast led by Academy Award winner Olivia Colman (The Favourite, The Lost Daughter), BAFTA winner Micheal Ward (Blue Story, Top Boy) and Academy Award winner Colin Firth (The King’s Speech, A Single Man). It also reunites Mendes with Academy Award winning cinematographer Roger Deakins (1917, Skyfall).
Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special (Feb. 9)
Synopsis: As Harley goes to obsessive lengths to ensure that her first Valentine’s Day with Ivy is the best ever, Bane’s efforts to impress an unexpected date go horribly awry. Meanwhile, after an unfortunate online dating encounter, Clayface engages in some self-love.
